Four Christmases

Vince Vaughn (Fred Claus) and Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line) play Brad and Kate, a blissfully committed couple who are set to depart for a tropical vacation when the San Francisco airport is fogged in and their flight is delayed. Captured on camera by a news crew, Brad and Kate reluctantly decide to visit their relatives during the 24-hour layover, but soon realize that they have to visit not two but four homes in one day: Brad's father Howard (Robert Duvall), who raised his brothers Denver (Jon Favreau) and Dallas (Tim McGraw) to be UFC fighters; his bohemian mother Paula (Sissy Spacek), who is now dating Brad's former best friend (Patrick Van Horn); Kate's mother Marilyn (Mary Steenburgen), a born-again Christian dating Pastor Phil (Dwight Yoakum); and her father Creighton (Jon Voight), an advocate for family unity despite his divorce from Marilyn.
